I have a friend who is an HR manager at a company with an office in New York (she is currently working from home in New Jersey due to COVID). She is concerned that she might be named as a defendant in an employment lawsuit by an employee of the company. She is looking for an initial consultation about her rights and risks. I believe her company has an office in California as well. I don't know what the corporate structure is, so I don't know whether California law might be involved.
